1.1 Background of the Study
There is a process exist that are used for sending information in secret way. This process is known as cryptography (Kalyan Chakraborty, 2010). The technique widely used for protection of information or data.
Cryptography covert message in cipher text form so that it is not possible for unauthorized party to understand it. In this paper we are going to develop a new \ system by using image is encrypted using two algorithms RSA and 2 bit rotation. New system developed for better protection and confidently. Now days in market we have a cryptography technique – RSA very secure technique. After that we use custom neural network technique for applying second encryption technique to make more secure. Even we can apply these both techniques alone but any attacker can get original message by decrypt separately. So we apply RSA technique with 2 bit rotation at same time so any intruder cannot decrypt it or not as easy as single encryption technique can. This research will highlight a new method that is developed for more security where image can be encrypted by using cryptography (Vishwagupta, Gajendra Singh and Ravindra Gupta, 2012).
Information security has become a central issue in information storage and transmission, it often requires that data be kept safe from unauthorized access. The best line of defense is physical security (Christof Paar, 2010). However, physical security is not always an option, due to cost and or efficiency considerations. Instead, most computers are interconnected with each other openly, thereby exposing them and the communication channels that they use. Cryptography, defined as the science and study of secret writing concerns the ways in which communications and data can be encoded to prevent disclosure of their contents through eavesdropping or message interception, using codes, ciphers and other methods, so that only certain people can see the real message. Image security is an utmost concern in the web attacks are become more serious. The Image encryption and decryption has applications in internet communication, military communication, medical imaging, multimedia systems, telemedicine, etc. To make the data secure from various attacks the data must be encrypted before it is transmitting. The government, financial institution, military, hospitals are deals with confidential images about their patient, financial status, geographical areas, enemy positions. Most of this information is now collected and stored on electronic computers and transmitted over the network. If these all the confidential images about enemy positions, patient and geographical areas are get in the wrong hands with regard to confidentiality (Anandakumar, 2015). Cryptography is used to encrypt data residing on storage devices or travelling through communication channels to ensure that any illegal access is not successful. Also, cryptography is used to secure the process of authenticating different parties attempting any function on the system. Since a party wishing be granted a certain functionality on the system must present something that proves that they indeed who they say they are. That something is sometimes known as credentials and additional measures must be taken to ensure that these credentials are only used by their rightful owner. The most classic and obvious credential are passwords. Passwords are encrypted to protect against illegal usage. Security of internet banking account passwords, email accounts password etc. requires text protection in digital media (Manoj Kumar Ramaiya, 2016). Unlike text messages, the multimedia information including image data has some special characteristics like redundancy and high correlation among pixels. One of the main goals that must be achieved during the transmission of information over the network is security. This technique will make the information to be transmitted into an unintelligible form by encryption so that only authorized persons can correctly recover the information. Encryption is the process of transforming a piece of information, known as the plaintext, using an algorithm, known as the cipher, to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge, usually referred to as a key. The output is known as the ciphertext. The reverse process of transforming cipher text to plaintext is known as decryption (sometimes called as decipherment).
Internet is the medium in the increasing growth of multimedia to transfer from the data from one place to another place across the internet. There are many possible ways to transmit the data over the internet such as e-mails, sending text and images, etc. In the present communication images are widely use. One of the major issue with transfer the data over the Internet is the security and authenticity. The security is basically protecting the data from an unauthorized users or attackers. Encryption is one of the technique which is use for secure the information. Image encryption is a technique that convert original image to another format with the encryption techniques. The same way in the decryption no one can access the information without knowing a decryption key.

So has to make a strong encryption for a image so that it can’t be hacked easily. And the perfection in the original image can obtain after decrypting it. A use of internet could be transfer the secure data which may be very essential for a group of companies, that the data should not be view by others.
Therefore sensitive data hiding becomes most important area in securing network information. The method is use for secure the data is known as encryption. After encrypting the data, with the help of network it is transfer to the destination.
At its destination encrypted data is decoded with the help of provided algorithm which is known as decryption. The private or sensitive information will be hidden within an image, and it is transmit with the secure keys which then decrypted.
RSA is an algorithm which is use provide the encryption and authentication system. This is developed in 1977 by Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, and Leonard Adleman. This algorithm is most commonly used encryption and authentication algorithm. The RSA algorithm is one of the first public key cryptosystems, and it is widely used for secure the data transmission. In such a cryptosystem, the encryption key is a public one and the decryption key is differ which is keep secret. In RSA, this asymmetry is based on the product of two large prime numbers, the factoring problem.
The RSA encrypt key is encrypt the image, so that it convert into cipher text format and it will be store as a text file. The opposite method of encryption, the reverse process is compute by another one decryption key of RSA algorithm and it decrypts the image from the cipher text. Finally it will discover the resultant image by the decryption techniques (Anandakumar, 2015).
1.2 Statement of the Problem
There appears to be illegal activity taking place at different organization. The suspects are apparently the use of computers and an illegal wireless network by intruders to conduct their activities by access an unsecure file and document without encrypted password. Therefore this project will deal with the development of image encrypting and decryption software using RSA algorithm that will enable internet transfer of file to be secure.
1.3 Aim of the Study
The aim of this study is to develop image encryption and decryption using RSA algorithm.
1.4 Objective of the Study
This main objective of this study is providing high security for file and keeping them from spying. It also aims at getting encryption algorithm accuracy and safety features and maintaining file information from getting loss during decryption process. File encryption is one of the most important applications in transferring file through the internet and cellular phones.
1.5 Significance of the Study
Projects provide a flexible framework for engaging students in exploring curricular topics and developing important 21st century skills, such as communication, teamwork, and technology skills. In addition, students are motivated by the fun and creative format and the opportunity to make new friends around the world. For user, image encrypting and decrypting using RSA algorithm enables quick and easy management of files.
1.6 Scope of Study
The research will center on the development of image encrypting and decrypting software using RSA algorithm for keeping of files through internet transfer.
1.7 Limitation of the Research
Usually, every work has some limitations and this study is not exempted. The two major limitations of this study are the high programming technique as well as financial constraints. The high programming technique constraint in Visual Basic.net and Microsoft Access for database prevents the researcher to have an in depth study and analysis on the subject matter. While the issue of financial constraint limits the frequency of investigation to/from the institution toward gathering the necessary information relevant for the study.
1.8 Definitions of Terms
RSA: is a public-key cryptosystem that is widely used for secure data transmission. It is also one of the oldest.
Cryptography: – is a method of storing and transmitting data in a particular form so that only those for whom it is intended can read and process it.
Image Encryption: Image encryption can be defined in such a way that it is the process of encoding secret image with the help of some encryption algorithm in such a way that unauthorized users can’t access it.
Plaintext: – In cryptography, plaintext is information a sender wishes to transmit to a receiver. Cleartext is often used as a synonym.
Cyphertext:- In cryptography, ciphertext or cyphertext is the result of encryption performed on plaintext using an algorithm, called a cipher. Ciphertext is also known as encrypted or encoded information because it contains a form of the original plaintext that is unreadable by a human or computer without the proper cipher to decrypt it. Decryption, the inverse of encryption, is the process of turning ciphertext into readable plaintext. Ciphertext is not to be confused with code text because the latter is a result of a code, not a cipher.
DES: – The Data Encryption Standard (DES) is an outdated symmetric-key method of data encryption. DES works by using the same key to encrypt and decrypt a message, so both the sender and the receiver must know and use the same private key.
RSA: – is one of the first practical public-key cryptosystems and is widely used for secure data transmission. In such a cryptosystem, the encryption key is public and differs from the decryption key which is kept secret.
Pretty Good Privacy (PGP):- is a data encryption and decryption computer program that provides cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communication. PGP is often used for signing, encrypting, and decrypting texts, e-mails, files, directories, and whole disk partitions and to increase the security of e-mail communications.
Encryption: – is the most effective way to achieve data security. To read an encrypted file, you must have access to a secret key or password that enables you to decrypt it. Unencrypted data is called plain text; encrypted data is referred to as cipher text.
AES: – The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), also known as Rijndael (its original name), is a specification for the encryption of electronic data established by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 2001
